James Earl Ross, 81, of Westerville, Ohio, passed away July 5, 2020.
He was born in Calhoun, Georgia on November 3, 1938 to the late Ananias and Bernice (Riley) Ross.
He is preceded in death by his sisters, Earlene Ross, Evelyn Ross; and son, Jeffery Ross.
Surviving family includes wife of 46 years Flora (Hames) Ross; children, James Ross Jr., Sherry Ross, Jerry Ross, Shantee (James) Tiller, Sonji Ross, Sheianne Ross; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, extended family and friends.
James served his country in the United States Army for five years. He worked at Timken for over 30 years. He loved the Lord and went to church faithfully, prayed fervently, and read his Bible daily.
He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend.
James loved his mother Bernice so very much!
He was very supportive of his wife Flora during her rehabilitation in recent years and throughout their marriage.
James was an outdoors man who loved to travel and gardening. He was known as an amazing fisherman and hunter, with trophies that hold memories of his successes.
His coined phase and message in life was that "time waits on no man and no one is here to stay".
