James Scolieri

James Michael Scolieri, 91, of Columbus, OH, passed away on February 6, 2014 at St. Ann's Hospital.
He is survived by his wife Wanda of 65 years; two sons, Michael and Patrick (Mary); two grandsons, Nick and Ben; and two great grandchildren, Elizabeth and Justin.
Jim was born on December 6, 1922. He joined the U.S. Navy in World War II, serving four years in the Pacific aboard the U.S. Aircraft Carrier Essex. He was a retired Union Sheet Metal Worker Local #98. He was active in the Local, holding several offices and was always proud to say he made the motion to put the first dime in to start the local pension.
Family will receive friends from 4-8pm, Monday, February 10, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Rd. Columbus, OH 43231. Services will be held at 11:00am, Tuesday, February 11, 2014, also at Newcomer Funeral Home. James will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
