James W. Mayhugh
November 22, 1931 — February 9, 2014
James W. Mayhugh, 82, of Columbus, OH went to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 9, 2014. James was preceded in death by his father and mother, Charles and Mary Mayhugh and sister, Phyllis Diamond.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce; son, Mike (Cindy) Mayhugh of Williamsport; daughter, Jennifer (John) Lindsay of Columbus; two grandchildren, Jayme (Brandon) Rausch and Kayla Mayhugh of Williamsport; two step-grandchildren, Jenna and Jamie Lindsay of Columbus.
He retired from the Ohio Department of Transportation on December 31, 1991, after 37 years of service. James served our country in the US Army for two years during the Korean War, was a member of the Peace United Methodist Church but currently attended the Maize Road Baptist Church.
Family and friends will gather on Sunday, February 16, 2014, 2-4 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, NE Chapel, 3047 East Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus, OH with the Memorial Service at 4:00 PM.
Reverend Brett Castle will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ohio Health Hospice, 800 McConnell Road, Columbus, OH 43214.
