James R. "Dr Doo-Wop" Wade, 74, of Columbus, passed away Friday, September 27, 2019 at Mill Run Gardens Care Center.
He was born February 4, 1945 in Pittsburgh, PA, son of the late Edgar and Martha Underwood Wade.
Jim is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Rachel Work Wade; daughter, Heather (Ian) Brumfield; grandchildren, Courtney Cooper, Nicholas Brumfield and Nathan Brumfield; sisters, Jean Charles, Marilyn King, Janet Budko and extended large loving family.
He was a proud Air Force veteran and a member of Plumbers and Pipefitters Local #189 for 31 years.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, October 2, 2019 from 5:00-8:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home SW Chapel 3393 Broadway Grove City.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 22718 Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718.
