James Willis Blume Sr., 76, passed away on Saturday, May 9, 2015 in Columbus, OH, surrounded by his loving family. Jim was born on November 29, 1938 in Columbus to Lester and Mary Blume.
Jim is preceded in death by his parents; wife of 52 years, Bonnie Blume; and his brother, David Blume.
He is survived by his children, James W. (Barbara) Blume, Jr., Deborah Slane, and Ronald Blume Sr.; grandchildren, Andrew Blume, Danyel (Stephen) Wallen, Krista Miller, Ronald Blume, Jr., and Ruschelle Moses; four great-grandchildren; and brother, Robert (Joan) Blume.
Family will receive friends on Friday, May 15, 2015 from 10:00am to 11:00am at Newcomer Funeral Home, NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Rd. Columbus, OH 43231 followed by funeral services at 11:00am. Jim will be laid to rest at Riverside Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Ohio Health Hospice, PO Box 600001, Columbus, OH 43272. The family would like to extend sincere gratitude to the staff of Ohio Health Hospice for Jim's excellent care.
