Janet Lucille Held, 65, of Columbus, passed away peacefully with her sons by her side on August 29, 2020.
Janet was born February 28, 1955 in Columbus to Earl and Barbara (Schirtzinger) Higgins.
She loved watching NASCAR, spending time with her grandchildren, coaching a local bowling league and bowling. Janet enjoyed watching baseball, especially the Cincinnati Reds.
Janet will be deeply missed by her; children Robert (Amy) Held, Mark (Lauren) Held; grandchildren Jared (Lisa Vo), Makayla, Mark Jr, Marshall; great-granddaughter Naomi; 6 brothers; 6 sisters along with many other family and friends.
Janet was preceded in death by her parents, husband Robert Held I.
Visitation will be Friday, September 4, 2020, from 6pm to 8pm at Newcomer NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin Granville Rd. Columbus. Funeral services will be Saturday, September 5, 2020 at 10am at the funeral home. Burial will be at Northlawn Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Sam Bish Foundation, a local pediatric cancer foundation, or the Kobacker House. The family would like to thank Kobacker House and Ohio Health Hospice for providing such wonderful care in her final days.
