Janet Marie Morris

Janet Marie Morris, 77, of Columbus, passed away on Monday, March 9, 2015. She was born on May 3, 1937, in Columbus, to Harold and Ruth Croft.
Janet retired from Schottenstein's Department Store, following 35 years of service. She enjoyed playing bingo, poker, and spending time with her grandchildren. Janet enjoyed telling stories and making others laugh. She will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.
In addition to her parents, Janet was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert Morris; daughters, Sheryl Nash and Darlene Morris; grandson, Brad Harkless; and seven siblings. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Charlene and John Harkless; son and daughter-in-law, Gilbert and Mari Morris; son, Chris Morris; six grandchildren and many great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; companion, David Morris; and best friend, Diane Salmons.
A memorial visitation celebrating Janet's life will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2015 from 2-4pm in Newcomer Funeral Home, NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Rd., Columbus, OH 43231.
