Janet E. Shultz Carpenter

Janet Shultz Carpenter, 85, of Grove City, Ohio, passed away peacefully on July 16, 2026.

Janet was preceded in death by her beloved husband, David Carpenter. She is survived by her devoted children – daughter, Heidi Clouser and her spouse, Marci Beatty; and her son, Steven Clouser. Also survived by her brother, Richard Shultz (Diana); and sisters, Peg Hickey (Tim), Donna Newman and Cherie Reynolds (Jim).

Janet dedicated her life to making others feel beautiful and valued. A talented hairstylist for over 47 years and a successful salon owner for 40 years, she built lasting relationships with her clients and took great pride in her work. Her kindness, warmth, and genuine care for others left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.

Above all, Janet passionately loved and supported her children. Her family was the center of her world, and she took immense joy in their lives and accomplishments. She also found happiness in nature’s beauty, especially flowers and expressed her creativity through designing and creating floral arrangements, gift baskets and beautiful jewelry. She possessed a gift and love for music. Rather it was listening to her favorite tunes from Michael Buble or Adele or in her younger days elegantly playing the piano she always found enjoyment in music.

Janet will be remembered for her loving heart, her strong work ethic, her artistic spirit, and the unwavering devotion she showed to her kids. Her presence brought comfort, encouragement, and joy to those fortunate enough to know her.

Cremation arrangements are being handled by Newcomer Funeral Home, Grove City, Ohio. A Celebration of Life will be held at the American Legion Post #164, 3363 McDowell Road, Grove City, Ohio on Saturday, July 25th from 2-5 p.m.

Janet’s memory will live on in the hearts of her children, family, friends, former clients, and all whose lives she touched.
