Jeanne Postle Lett, 90, of Orient, Ohio passed into the arms of the Lord Jesus on April 6, 2017.
Private services will be held at the convenience of family members and close friends. Burial will be at Alton Cemetery.
Jeanne was born in Columbus, Ohio to Fred and Elsie Postle on October 1, 1926. She graduated from Columbus North High School. She attended The Ohio State University where she met her future husband, Ellsworth Jackson (Jack) Lett, and as a sports enthusiast, was also a member of the Swan Club and the Women's Recreation Association. She and Jack were married on September 20, 1947 in Columbus, Ohio. She worked as a Secretary for the Co-Op for 3 years. However, her primary work in life was providing a loving home for her husband and four children. She was an elected member of the Westfall School Board for 8 years. Jeanne & Jack attended the Purple Door Church in Grove City where they were involved in the Sharing Group with lifelong friends for 30+ years. She also served as a Group Leader in the Bible Study Fellowship class in Grove City, Ohio for many years. She enjoyed athletic competition throughout her whole life. In 1971, Jeanne won the Oakhurst Country Club women's golf championship in her flight.
Jeanne is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jack; parents, Fred and Elsie, as well as her sisters, Martha, Helen, and Freda.
Jeanne is survived by her children: Jim Lett (Pam), Connie Lett Rice (Greg), Dan Lett, and Tim Lett; Phyllis Borror, sister; 13 grandchildren and their spouses, as well as 31 great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be given to The Purple Door Church, 2684 Columbus St, Grove City, OH 43123. The family of Jeanne wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the nurses and doctors of Mount Carmel Hospice, the staff of Brookdale at Pinnacle, and the pastors at the Purple Door Church for their kind and loving care for Jeanne in her final years.
