Jeannette Ann Ussery

Jeannette Ann Ussery, passed away on October 13, 2026, at Norton Health and Rehab. She was born in Columbus, Ohio, on March 18, 1936.

Jeannette will be remembered as a woman who loved spending time with family and friends. She was a very active and faithful member of her church over the years and gave generously of herself as an active member and leader of many community outreach groups. She was steadfast in praying for her family, friends, and community, and she never met a stranger she could not befriend. Her warm spirit and caring heart touched many lives.

She is survived by her daughters, Mary (Rob) Critchfield and Carol Trimmer, her son, Gregory Ussery, and her son-in-law, Ken Bowen. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Nicole Critchfield, Cassady Critchfield, Justin Trimmer, and Jared Trimmer, as well as her great-granddaughter, Alasia Critchfield. May her family find comfort in the love she shared so freely and in the many memories they hold close.

Jeannette was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Ussery; her daughter, Sharon Bowen; her father, Ferdinand Lyle; her mother, Peggy Lyle; her sister, Joyce Braithwaite; her brother, James Lyle; and her son-in-law, Jamie Trimmer.

Visitation will be held on October 22, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio 43123. A funeral service will immediately follow in the funeral home chapel at 10:00 a.m. Private graveside services will be held at Saint Joseph Cemetery, 6440 South High Street, Lockbourne, Ohio 43137.
