Jeffrey Arthur Griesheimer, 76, of Grove City, Ohio, was welcomed to his eternal home with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, January 21, 2026. Jeff passed peacefully in his sleep after several years of fighting kidney disease. Jeff was born on July 9, 1949, in Toledo, Ohio, to Emaline and James Doyle Griesheimer.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Joseph Griesheimer, and sister-in-law, Cindy Griesheimer.

Jeff graduated from Southeastern High School in Richmondale, Ohio, in 1967 and quickly enlisted in the United States Navy, where he trained at the United States Naval Training Center to become a corpsman, serving in Cuba and Vietnam. After being discharged from the Navy, he went on to earn a Bachelor’s degree from the Ohio State University. During his time at OSU, he met the love of his life, Valerie Kiser. The two married in 1976 and built a beautiful life together.

In 1980, he earned his law degree from the University of Toledo and began his legal career in Van Wert, Ohio, working for Legal Aid. He later joined the Social Security Administration in the Department of Hearings and Appeals, where he served as an attorney for many years and was sworn in as an Administrative Law Judge in 2001. He retired from public service in 2010.

Jeff loved to study the Bible and was a faithful Sunday school teacher and deacon at the First Baptist Church of Grove City. He was also active in the church’s theater ministry, participating in many skits and plays, sharing his love of Jesus.

In his free time, Jeff loved watching movies, spending time outdoors, and traveling. He especially loved visiting national parks. “Well done, my good and faithful servant.”Matthew 25:23
