Jeffrey Edward Kierns was born on March 26, 1981, in Columbus, Ohio. He left us on June 6, 2026, in Grove City, Ohio, at the age of 45, surrounded by his family. Jeffrey was a man known for his kindness and humor. He was always ready to help and stood up for those in need. His friends called him a great friend, and his family knew him as the best dad. He loved to entertain friends and family, making them laugh and feel cared for.
Jeffrey graduated from Westland High School in the class of 1999. He worked hard as a certified mechanic and a truck driver. These jobs showed his dedication and his hands-on skills that helped many people. Beyond work, Jeffrey enjoyed riding motorcycles in the country and working on cars with his son, Jacob. He was also a fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes and shared this passion with his family. When asked what his greatest life accomplishment was, he stated without a doubt, his son, Jacob.
He is survived by his son, Jacob, wife, Michelle, and step-daughters, Marina Thomas and Sienna Thomas. Jeffrey also leaves behind his parents, Ken and Linda (Karns) Kierns, and his sisters, Lisa (Tom) Bazemore and Cynthia Tackett. His family grew with nieces Elizabeth (Johnie) Murphy, Amanda Bazemore, and Autumn Tackett, as well as nephews Joshua Bazemore and Isaac Kierns. Jeffrey’s great nieces and nephews, Vincent, Victoria, Violet, and Lili, along with extended family and loved ones, will remember him fondly.
Jeffrey’s life will be honored with a viewing on June 15, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest, located at 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio. The funeral service will take place the following day, June 16, 2026, starting at 10:00 AM, also at the funeral home.
Jeffrey Edward Kierns touched many lives with his hardworking spirit, warm heart, and joyful laughter. He will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Newcomer Funeral Home to help family with expenses.
