With a heart full of hope and love for his family, Jeffrey Lawrence Perry entered his eternal rest on the morning of July 30, 2025, at the age of 60.
A beloved son, husband, brother, cousin, and friend, Jeff was born on September 21, 1964, in Columbus, Ohio to Arthur Perry and Gloria (Perry) Gibson. From an early age, Jeff showed an affinity and connectivity to nature. Born to a supportive mother, Gloria, who passed on her love of animals, especially German Shepards, Jeff was able to have pet tarantulas, snakes, turtles, and other small creatures, both increasing his knowledge and satisfying his curiosity. When you went into the Perry home, you never knew what new pet Jeff (and his mother) might want to show you. All his life, Jeff absolutely loved and appreciated the beauty and uniqueness of all God’s creatures and helped others to do the same.
Jeff attended Columbus Public Schools (Ohio), graduating from Linden Mckinley High School, in 1982. Highly intelligent and a gifted linguist, Jeff excelled in writing, creating books of poetry and songs. He even won an award for one of them. He also loved music and could play both the guitar and piano. Being an unselfish soul, Jeff freely shared his love of poetry and music with family and friends, especially his wife Narcella Denise, whom he married in 1991. Jeff often said how he loved writing her poetry and sharing it with her in the evening.
Jeff was kind and compassionate and cared deeply for others. Wherever he went, he made himself available to people, listening and encouraging them. This was part of his nature and, also part of his faith. A born-again believer in Jesus Christ, Jeff always shared the hope that was within himself with grace and compassion.
Besides his mother and wife, Jeff adored his sisters, Apryl and Aaren and was always protective and supportive of them. Even in illness, his thoughts were to make sure they were okay.
Jeff also adored his stepsister, Paula. He cherished the visits from her and would share how she brightened so many of his days and he thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her.
Jeff is proceeded in death by his father, Arthur Lawrence Perry; Mother, Gloria Gibson, and wife, Narcella Denise Perry. Jeff leaves to cherish his memory, sisters: Apryl Pitts and Aaren (Eugene) Stephens, Stepmother, Theresa Perry; Stepbrothers, Maurice (Dawn) Young and Michael (Sharon) Gay. Stepsisters, Kim Robinson, Paula Gay, and a host of other family and friends.
A celebration of life will be held at Christ Centered Apostolic Church at 3494 Bexvie Ave. Columbus, Ohio 43227 on Saturday, 8-30-2025 at 11:00am. Repass will follow.
