JERRY E HAMILTON, aka Gerald Eugene Hamilton, age 76, went to be with our Lord on December 4, 2013 in Columbus, OH.
Jerry was an Army veteran of the Vietnam era born on November 22, 1937 in Grinnell, Iowa. At the time of his passing, Jerry was VP, Risk Analyst III, Loss Forecast at JP Morgan Chase Bank in Columbus, OH. Previous to Chase, Jerry spent 30+years as a Certified SAS Consultant to HSBC Bank, Wells Fargo Bank, American Express, Discover Financial Svs, Deloitte & Touche, Intel Corp, Cisco Systems, Genentech, Merck Pharmaceuticals, US Oncology, EBay UK, PG&E, Duke Energy, Limited Brands, PetSmart, BestBuy as well as other fortune 500 companies in various industries and government.
He was a member of American Society for Training and Development; International Institute of Business Analysis; Association of Information Technology Professional; Association of United States Army; 82nd Airborne Division Association; Advanced Business Analytics, Data Mining and Predictive Modeling; SAS Business Intelligence and Risk Credit Group.
Jerry was also Director of Christian Education of various Assembly of God Churches. His passion was teaching the Word of God and training teachers to teach the Word of God in Sunday Schools.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Genevieve Waialae of Nanakuli, HI, sons John Joseph Kanekeakua Hamilton (Andrea) of Waukegan, IL, Geoffrey Allen Kauapakanui Hamilton (Amanda) of Long Beach, CA; daughters Dawn Eve Uilani (Bill) Whalen of Livermore, CA and Deborah Ann Haunani Larson of Columbus, OH; 14 grandchildren and 1 new great-grandchild; sister Cathy Hamilton of Covington, IN and his favorite paternal aunt Vera Ballinger of Moreno Valley, CA and another favorite aunt Lucy Akau of Waimanalo, HI . Two sons preceded Jerry to meet our Lord, Gerald Eton Nuuhiwa Hamilton and Guy Elan Manaolani Hamilton as well as his mother and father Letha Bosteder and Rev. John Hamilton and one sister Patricia Hamilton.
Family and friends will gather on Friday, December 20, 2013, 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM at Newcomer Funeral Home, NE Chapel, 3047 East Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus, OH 43231 with the Funeral Service at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Dayton National Cemetery, Dayton, OH.
