Jerry L Marselle, Sr., of Blacklick, OH passed away Thursday, October 26, 2017. Jerry was born in Charleston, WV on April 1, 1945 and was raised by his grandparents, Opha and Ina Parsons.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents; mother, Shirley Bailey; brother Mike Miller; aunts Louise Cartmill and Virdia Beane, to whom he was 'baby brother'; and his cousin Scott Beane, who loved each other as brothers.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia (Riffle) Marselle; daughter, Tammy (Nolie) Houston; son, Jerry (Erica) Marselle; brother Larry (Sue) Miller; step-father Arlin Bailey; uncles Jack Parsons and Jim Parsons, to whom he is their baby brother; grandchildren, Taylour Houston and Alex Houston; great-grandchildren Shy'Anne Turner and Liam Houston; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Jerry was a hardworking man, learning those values from a young age, spending a lot of his childhood working alongside his Grandfather in Nitro, Wv. He left West Virginia in 1966 to work in the factories of Cleveland and Columbus; and continued in the factories until his retirement in 2007.
He was a loving husband and father, celebrating 53 years of marriage to his wife Pat. Coming from a musical family, he loved nothing more than to sing and play his guitar, and instilled a love of music into his children.
Jerry was a member of the Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses for over 50 years. He is remembered for his lively talks, and singing Kingdom Songs while out in the ministry. Even in his final days, his desire was to get healthy and return to the field ministry. He was loved by many friends, and he loved them in return.
A memorial service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1909 Reynoldsburg New Albany Rd., Blacklick, Oh, on November 11th at 2:00pm.
