Jerry Lee Springer, age 73, entered into the presence of his loving Savior on August 23, 2026 after a battle with cancer. Born July 16, 1953 in Columbus, Ohio to Earl Lee Humphreys (deceased) and Mary Springer (deceased), he is preceded in death by the love of his life Donna and his beautiful daughter Jenni, he is survived by his daughter, Jessica, sons, Mark and Harry, grandchildren, Conner and Kylie, surrogate daughter Char Daw and surrogate son Michael Sammons, sisters, Judy, Debbie, and Sharon, and many beloved family and friends . A devoted husband, dad, brother, friend, and papa; he will be missed for his generosity of spirit and kindness. In his younger years he loved to go fishing, read, watch westerns, and serve in the Master’s Men group at church. After graduating from North High School, he married his high school sweetheart, Donna, at the North Free Will Baptist Church in October of 1972. Jerry was a friend to anyone that entered their home, often sharing our holiday tables with family, friends, and sometimes a stranger who was lonely. Before becoming home bound Jerry worshipped at the Westerville Free Will Baptist Church.
A celebration of life cookout will be held on October 31, 2026 from 12pm -2pm at Blendon Woods Metro Parks, Shadblow shelter. We welcome you to celebrate his life with us at this time.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Nationwide Children’s Hospital or St. Judes Children’s Hospital.
