Jim Ailes

James Roger Ailes, age 99, of Newark, Ohio passed away on March 4, 2026. Jim was born on July 25, 1926 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Grover and Edith Ailes.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Ailes, daughter, Terrie Jones, brothers, Robert Ailes, Jack Ailes, sisters, Martha Hines, and Mary Miles.

He is lovingly survived by his daughters, Charlotte (Lester) Simpson, Mary Jorge, a host of grandchildren, great-granchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Jim loved working with and coaching the children at Whitehall school district. He was a proud USAF Veteran and an Elder of his church for 30 years. Above all, he loved the Lord.

He will be deeply missed.
