Jim Toner, age 80 of Columbus, OH, passed away on July 10, 2025. He was born on May 1, 1945 to the late Michael and Hilde (Wilhelm) Toner in Pittsburgh, PA. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by first wife Darlene Toner, second wife Frankie Reeder and a grandson Michael Ryan Toner. Jim is survived by his loving daughters Ann (Russ Chisler) Toner, Cindy (Gary Lowe) Toner, and Jamie Martin, grandchildren Adrianna (Zach) Burt, Jeremy Chisler, Chase Martin, Austin Lowe, Wyatt Martin and Maddy Tufford, great grandchildren Troy Burt, Rylee Toner, and Lincoln Toner, siblings Pat Toner, Margie (Wayne) Thompson and Mike (Terry) Toner and several nieces and nephews.
Jim graduated from Holy Family High School in 1963, served in the U.S. Air Force, retired from AEP. He was a long time volunteer with Holy Family Soup Kitchen, co-founder of Saints Alive, member of Saint Aloysius Catholic Church, member of Knights of Columbus and a member of the American Legion, Post 532.
Jim loved spending time with his family, especially his Saturday morning breakfast with his daughters and grandchildren, enjoyed camping, traveling, bowling, golfing and his animals. Jim was caring, loving, giving and selfless. He will be missed by so many.
Friends may call at Newcomer Funeral Home, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH on Thursday, July 17, 2025 from 4:00pm until time of service at 7:00pm with Father Pat Toner officiating.
