Jimmy Harmon, 81, passed away on Monday, July 4, 2016 in Columbus, OH. He was born on June 5, 1935 in Huddy, KY to Taft and Frances Harmon.
Jimmy is preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Emmett Harmon.
He is survived by wife of 59 years, Connie Harmon; daughters, Eva Harmon and Kimberly (Greg) Goudy; grandchildren, Greg Goudy Jr., John Norwood and Lara (Justin Braun) Wygle; and sister, Bessie (Bill) Strawser.
Jimmy was an Army Veteran in the Korean War. He was a Mason at lodge 595 for 50 years and was a long time member of Salem Baptist Church. Jimmy retired from Nationwide after 47 years of employment. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Family will receive friends on Saturday, July 9, 2016 from 9am-11am at Newcomer Funeral Home, NE Chapel, 3047 East Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus, OH 43231 followed by Funeral Services at 11am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, PO Box 1000 Dept 142 Memphis, TN 38101.
