Jo-Ann Carol Nichols

Jo Ann Hayner Seagal Nichols passed into Glory into Jesus' loving arms on Easter Sunday evening, April 12, 2020. Jo Ann was 93. Born December 15, 1926 at the Old White Cross Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. She was an Honor Student Graduate of West High School, class of 1945.
Preceded in death by her parents, Otho and Gertrude Hayner; her first husband, Leonard Seagal, USN vet; and her second husband, William Nichols.
Survived by son, Stephen Seagal; daughter, Tammy Seagal of Columbus; grandsons, Robert (Brittany) Berney of NC and Michael Curtis of Columbus; great-granddaughters, Brooklyn and Baily Jo Ann of NC; and her beloved dog, Molly.
She was involved in her church, Crossroads UMC, ARC #14, and Young at Heart group. She also made and sold candy, loved animals, and watched CNN everyday.
She will be missed by her friends, Marie Freeman, Marie Winnestaffer, Jim & Linda Clark, Naomi Cranston; and her special "Post Office" friends, Theresa M. Fox and Katie & Travis & Evelyn Copeland.
Instead of flowers, her charities were Helping Hands of Crossroads UMC, 1100 South Hague Ave., Columbus, OH 43204 and Golden Endings Retrievers Rescuers, 1043 Elmwood Ave., Columbus, OH 43212.
