Joan Botknecht, 81, of Dublin, OH, passed away on Thursday, July 3, 2014. Joan was born in New York, NY on July 12, 1932, to Alexander and Frances (Sorby) Brozko and is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Jerry Botknecht.
She is survived by her children, Ellie (Stephen) McGaughey of Maui, HI and Kenneth (Denise) Botknecht of Dublin, OH; loving grandmother of Evan and Ryan Botknecht.
She will be missed by her extended family and loving canine companion, Faith.
Joan was a proud graduate of Queens College, NYC, an English teacher in several school districts and was a long time employee of the Pace University Library system.
She was a member of the Hudson Valley Dachshund Association and the Connecticut Yankee Dachshund Club.
Memorial contributions may be made in Joan's name to ASPCA.org.
Inurnment will take place in New York at a later date.
