Joan Chaplin

Joan Chaplin, age 89, passed away on November 19, 2017. She was born September 14, 1928 in Zanesville, OH to the late Frank and Virginia Snider.
She is preceded in death by Bill, her beloved husband of 61 years; her parents and brother Bill Snider.
Joan is survived by children Greg (Basia) Chaplin, Tom (Nancy) Chaplin, and Chris (Mark) Casher; grandchildren Nick (Katy), Courtney, Brad (Amanda), Rob, Katie (Nick) Pettit, and Michael (Lindsey) Casher; great-grandchildren Logan, Matthew, Connor, Joel, Emmie, and Teddy; brother Dave (Rita) Snider; as well as extended family and friends.
Joan was a life long member of the Catholic Church. She was very involved at Regina Coeli, Alliance OH, and previously at St. Thomas Aquinas, Zanesville,OH. She loved Ft. Myers, FL, camping, playing cards, music, and square dancing. More than anything Joan loved spending time with her family and will be truly missed by all who knew and cherished her.
A memorial mass will be held on Saturday December 9, 2017 at St.Peters Church, 6899 Smoky Row Rd, Columbus, OH 43235 at 10am. Food and fellowship will follow the mass at church. In lieu of flowers the family asks donations be made in Joan's memory to St. Peters church.
