Joan Stapleton passed away on Thursday, November 7, 2013 at Mother Angelina McCrory Manor after a long and courageous battle with Parkinson's Disease.
Born in New York City on March 3, 1937, Joan was an ardent New Yorker and always considered NY her home. She graduated from St. Catharine's School of Nursing.
Preceded in death by her husband, John "Duke" Stapleton.
Joan was a registered nurse in the Columbus area for 50 years, retiring from Franklin County Board of Health where she supervised the Immunization Program for Children & Adults. She also acted as Occupational Health Nurse, giving in-service to corporate employees regarding health care.
A memorial service will be held in Joan's honor on Tuesday, November 19th, at 10:00 am at Mother Angelina McCrory Manor Chapel, 5199 E. Broad Street, Columbus.
