Joann K. Robbins

Joann Robbins was born to the late Calip and Johnny Gaines, on June 04, 1938 in Tuscaloosa, AL. She left this life for to be with her Lord on Friday, July 19, 2019.

Proceeded in death by husband Joseph Kirkland, husband William Robbins and longtime companion Clevon Hall, son Joseph (Butchie) Kirkland and sisters, Nida, Della and Jessie. She leaves to cherish her memory Daughters: Debbie Robbins, Angie Robbins, Jackie Robbins and Christina (LaMont) Foster, Son: John Robbins, Sister: Vera Boston, Granddaughters: Myeshia Singer, Ashlee (Michael) Briggs and Tiana Robbins, Grandsons: Antonio Dobson and Jayden Foster. Great-Grandchildren: Alaysha Burton, (EJ) Earl Jones, Blessin Briggs, Aarianna Robbins, Amelia Martinez, Gabriel Martinez and Michael Briggs Jr., and a host of other relatives and friends.

Joann worked as a Teachers Aid with Columbus Public Schools at Garfield Elementary and was also a School Nutrition Services Department member at St. Augustine and Gabriel Schools and Parish for many years. She enjoyed cooking (best cornbread dressing ever), gardening, fishing and sewing as well as being the boss of her domain as she was pretty fiery!!
