Joanne "Ann" Lambert, 80, of New Albany, passed away on April 22, 2016 at Sunrise of Gahanna after an extended battle with the horrible condition called Alzheimer's.
She was born on December 30, 1935 in Beaver, OH and was the daughter of the late Vantzel and Verna Sampson.
In addition to her parents, Ann was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Sampson and granddaughter, Ruth.
She worked for The Ohio State University, Speech and Hearing Department until retirement.
Ann is survived by her husband, Claude; sons Steve (Karen), Todd (Rita), Bob (Kathy) and Doug (Shawn); sisters, Marty (Howard), Mary (Tony), Patty (Richard-deceased), Katie (Jerry), Wilma (Jerry), and Carol (Richie); grandchildren, Jenny (Jim), A.J. (Megan), Katie, Ashley (Jesse), Zak, Sam, Eli, Chloe, Isaac, Jeremy, Blake, Trevor and Jo; great grandchildren, Lilly, Michael, Riley and Isabel; and many other loving family members and friends.
Family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 27, 2016 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, Northeast Chapel, 3047 East Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus, Ohio 43231. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 28, 2016 at 10:00am also at Newcomer Funeral Home, NE Chapel. She will be laid to rest at Maplewood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mount Carmel Hospice, 6150 E. Broad St. Columbus, OH 43213 in Ann's honor.
