John Atkins

John Wayne Atkins, surrounded by his loving family went home to be with the Lord on July 27th 2020. Born on February 26th 1955 to the late Raymond and Rose Davis Atkins. Besides his parents, he is also preceded in death by sisters Carol "Sissy" Ann Atkins, and Linda Traylor.

With what can only be described as the kind of love you only see in classic Hollywood movies, John is Survived by his bride of 39 years Christina, who, in his own words will always be the greatest love of his life. Also survived by brother, Tom (Brenda), Sons David (Renee), Buddy (Christy), Corey (Katie). Daughters Angela (Dave), Amanda (Jeremy) and Casey (Pat) 14 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. John will be remembered best for his wonderful sense of humor, infinite wisdom, and his infectious laugh. John was a member of Fellowship Baptist church. He loved his church, family, and loved reading his bible. John was rarely seen without a smile on his face and always had a kind word for anyone who crossed his path. He will be missed by all.

Friends may call the the NEWCOMER SOUTHWEST CHAPEL 3393 Broadway, Grove City, on Monday, August 3, 2020 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm & 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at 11:00 am at the Fellowship Baptist Church 4701 Winchester Pike, Columbus, Ohio 43232. Interment to follow at Groveport Cemetery.
