John Cecil Maynard Jr.

John C. Maynard, Jr. passed away on May 11, 2026. He was a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather, cherished son, brother, uncle, and friend. John will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and the warmth he shared with everyone around him.John worked as a flooring contractor, bringing skill, care, and dedication to every project he took on. He was known not only for his craftsmanship but also for his willingness to help friends, family, and neighbors whenever needed.A man of deep faith, John found joy and purpose in attending church and sharing the gospel of Jesus with others. His commitment to his faith touched countless lives and was reflected in his compassion and daily acts of kindness.John loved fishing and spending quality time with family and friends, cherishing the moments of laughter, connection, and simple joys. His presence brought happiness, comfort, and a sense of peace to all who knew him. John was preceded in death by his mother, Bonnie Condit Maynard. He is survived by his loving wife, Dreama; his children, Shasta, Tyler, Tayler, and Caleb; his grandchildren, Makenna and Myla; his father, John (Nancy); his siblings, Tina (Mark), Diana (Marty), Harrison, and Jacob (Shae); his nieces and nephews, Mark (Jennifer), Victoria, Marty (Amanda), and Miranda; and by many aunts, uncles, cousins.

A memorial service in John’s memory will be held at Newcomer Southwest Chapel (3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH) on Thursday, May 28th. Gathering will begin at 1:30pm and Memorial to start at 2PM.
