John David Rogers

John David Rogers, born on January 12, 1947, in Columbus, Ohio, passed away peacefully on August 17, 2026, surrounded by his family.

John was a simple man. He had a good sense of humor. He loved visiting his granddaughters every week, bringing them donuts. He loved The Ohio State Buckeyes and Cleveland Browns football. He retired from Franklin County IT after many years. 

He is survived by his daughter, Cherise (Jessica) Rogers-Blose, son, John Rogers II; Grandchildren, Emmaline, Tanner, Cadence, Elaina, John, Ryan, Luke, Tyler, Kaiden, Connor, Reise, and River. He is also survived by sisters Sally Graham, Sue (Chet) Fox, Ruth (Randy) Bauman, brother Douglas Rogers; Nephews, Mike, Chris, David and nieces, Alexis and Amanda. 

John was preceded in death by wife, Letha "Jo" Rogers, his parents Robert and Ruth (Steinhour) Rogers; Brother Danny Rogers, and brother in law, Dick Graham.

Family will welcome loved ones and friends on Sunday, August 23, 2026 from 11:00am to 12:30pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3393 Broadway, Grove CIty, Ohio. A funeral service will start at 12:30pm at the funeral home.
