John E Dobbie

John E. Dobbie, 72 of New Albany, passed away at Mt. Carmel/St. Ann's Hospital on March 31, 2016. Born on May 29, 1943 to the late John and Mary (Burns) Dobbie in Zanesville, OH. John played football through high school and college and was a coach and scout for youth leagues, high schools, and a minor league professional team. He was on the Gahanna Cable Board for 20 years and was a founding member and president of the Gahanna Community Concert Series. He retired from The Ohio Attorney General's Office. Survived by wife of 18 years Sheila (Moore) Dobbie, children Lisa (Ed) Schmidt, Linda (Koen) Hartman, John (Jennifer) Notestine, all formerly Dobbie, Scott (Shannon) Dobbie, grandchildren Victoria Schmidt, Kirsten and Andreas Hartman, Adam and Allison Notestine, Charlie and Violet Dobbie.

Services will be held on May 29, 2016 at 4pm at Vineyard Christian Church, Pataskala, OH.
