John David Gueth, a beloved figure to many, was born on November 28, 1944, in Columbus, Ohio. He peacefully passed away on December 22, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and love.

John dedicated his career to the State of Ohio in the Department of Insurance, where he was known for his personable nature. An avid reader and a golf enthusiast, John enjoyed spending time outdoors and found great joy in the simple pleasures of life. However, his greatest joy came from being with his family. John took immense pride in the life he and his wife Denise built together over 46 years. They created a nurturing home filled with love and laughter, and John was particularly proud of their children and grandchildren.

As a proud member of the Masons, John upheld values of community and service, contributing positively to those around him.

John is survived by his devoted wife, Denise M. Gueth; his son, Josh Gueth; his daughter, Sarah Gueth-Maynard; and his cherished grandsons, Nate Maynard, Nolan Maynard, and Jeremy Maynard. He is preceded in death by his father, Clarence Gueth; his mother, Marcile VanArdale; his brother, Clarence Gueth, Jr.; and sisters, Jayne Gueth-Dawson, Janis Gueth-Dunn, and Heather Healey.

John David Gueth will be remembered not just for his accomplishments, but for his affectionate spirit and the connections he fostered throughout his life. He leaves a deep and lasting impact on the hearts of those who had the privilege to know him.
