John Thomas Mayes, age 66, of Grove City, Ohio passed away on November 22, 2025. John was born in Columbus, Ohio on October 18, 1959 to the late William and Dorothy Mayes.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, Richard Mayes, Robert Mayes, and Betty Lou Mayes.

He is lovingly survived by his wife of 20 years, Vicenta Mayes, daughter, Ashley Mayes, sisters, Denise and Debbie.

John was an associate for Kroger Bakery for over 40 years. John loved Carnival Cruises. He went on 51 cruises total. He also loved spending time with his daughter.

He will be deeply missed.

Family and friends may call on Friday, November 28, 2025 at Newcomer SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio 43123 for calling hours from 10am-12pm with a funeral service starting at 12pm. Burial will follow at Obetz Cemetery.
