John Nacke, 83, Columbus, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, September 18, 2014. John was born in Reynolds, IN on May 1, 1931, to Otto and Eula (Dupin) Nacke and is preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Raymond Nacke, Leota Ferguson, Algie Nacke, Roy Nacke, Faye Fleck, Aaron Nacke, Byron Nacke, Zella Mae Nacke; and special person who John held close to his heart, Jeff Rader.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Phyllis (Sparks) Nacke; daughters, Connie Bolek, Karen (Tom) Miller, Susan (Rusty) Price; sister, Lillian (Dave) Mathis; grandchildren, Chris (Jen) Hickey, Ben Price, Bryan (Kim) Price, Julie Bevelander, Chad Hickey, Adam Hickey, Carly (David) Westhoven, Merrie Bolek, Brett (Courtney) Miller, Abbe Miller; 9 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law; nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
John retired from Massey Ferguson after 30 years and was a member of the Good Shepherd United Methodist Church. John was the neighborhood farmer and whose grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the joy of his life.
Family and friends will gather on Sunday, September 21, 2014, 3-5 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, NE Chapel, 3047 East Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus, OH 43231 with the Funeral Service on Monday, September 22, 2014, 11:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Good Shepherd UMC, 6176 Sharon Woods Blvd, Columbus, OH 43229.
