John James Pasden

John James "J.J." Pasden, 86, of Columbus, passed away Friday, February 1, 2019 at Worthington Christian Village.

He was born February 21, 1932 in Martins Ferry, OH, son of the late John and Catherine Mekos Pasden.

John served in the Navy during the Korean War and served on the U.S.S. Wisconsin. He was also a member of the Elks and the American Legion.

John is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Dot Pasden; daughter, Becky (Paul) Chatel; Greg (Rose) Pasden; grandchildren, Nick and Teresa Chatel, April Lynn Pasden, Heather (James) Simpson, Monica (Drew) Pitzer and Bobby Pasden.

Visitation will be Thursday, February 7, 2019 from 4:00-7:00 PM with a prayer service at 6:30pm at Newcomer Funeral Home NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Rd. Columbus.

A Mass will be held on Friday, February 8, 2019 at 11:00 AM at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 1300 Urban Dr. Columbus.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association Central Ohio Chapter, 1379 Dublin Rd. Columbus, OH 43215.
