John “Jon-Jon” Richmond, age 39, passed away unexpectedly on the morning of June 29, 2025, in Columbus, Ohio. He was born to Tammy Woolever and James Richmond on April 19, 1986 in Columbus, Ohio. John enjoyed extreme sports, having a passion for skateboarding and BMX freestyle at an early age. John would use his skateboard as his primary source of transportation in his younger years, known to have ridden his skateboard from Grove City, Ohio to Circleville, Ohio on occasion. John expressed his passion for riding motorcycles over the last 10 years, eventually purchasing his own, one that needed many (many) repairs for it to be serviceable, John accomplished this task out of determination. John had many self-taught skills as an auto-mechanic, carpenter, plumber, and electrician, and would never shy away from a project to help his friends and family. One hobby he picked up later in life was playing guitar, John enjoyed playing and learning songs based in his wide-range of music taste from hip-hop, to rock, and country. His strongest skill that he developed and used routinely for his friend and family, was that of a computer technician. John was absolutely fascinating to watch in his attempts to build and program computers. John was an artist, and would routinely sketch pictures in his free-time. Letting creativity flow from his mind onto paper, he would draw his own greeting cards and pictures for himself and others.

John is survived by his mother, Tammy Woolever; his father, James Richmond; children, Carson James Richmond, Liam Quinten Richmond, Koresin Cayluv Payne; sister, Jessica Woolever; brother, Joshua (Sarah) Woolever; significant other, Caitlin Nichole Brecht; John is preceded by his step-father, Harold “Butch”Woolever; Brother, James Luis Richmond “Little Jamie”.

Family and friends may call on Friday, July 18, 2025 at Newcomer SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway Grove City, Ohio 43123 for calling hours from 10am - 12pm with a funeral service starting at 12pm. An interment will follow at Green Lawn Cemetery at 2pm.
