John S. Adamski

February 27, 1942 — April 14, 2016

John S. Adamski, 74 of Columbus and previously of Harriman, NY, passed away at his residence on April 14, 2016.

Born on February 27, 1942 to the late Frank and Anna (Rutko) Adamski in Detroit, MI.

He is survived by daughters Jennifer (Craig) Schorling and Stephani (William) Lang, grandchildren Amy and Katherine Lang, and Skylar and Jake Schorling, brother Donald Adamski of Oregon, and nephew Theodore Penner of Missouri.

Preceded in death by sister Barbara (Penner) and brother James.

John attended Grosse Pointe High School, Class of 1960, in Grosse Pointe Farms, Michigan, and graduated from Western Michigan University.

He worked as a Packaging Engineer at numerous employers including Oscar Mayer, Parker Pen Company, Lipton, and Scotts Lawn Care.

John loved to laugh with and spend time with his children and grandchildren. Watching baseball and talking about baseball were some of his favorite past times. Growing up he was a Detroit Tigers fan and later became a New York Yankees fan.

John was a loving father and grandfather and will be greatly missed.

Friends may call at Newcomer Funeral Home, NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin Granville Rd., Columbus, OH on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 from 6pm to 7pm.
