John H. Stemen

John H. Stemen, age 81, passed away on June 21, 2021. He was born in Pataskala, Ohio on January 2, 1940 to the late Samuel and Ruth (Hoffman) Stemen.
Retired from Matlack Trucking in Pataskala, Ohio. Volunteered with the Pataskala Fire Department (West Licking Fire District) for 50+ years and later was a member of the West Licking Firefighter's Association. John played a major role in the Pataskala Street Fair. He also enjoyed the outdoor life.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Sharon (Thrash) Stemen.
He is survived by his children, Bret (Jinny) Stemen, Joe (Lisa) Stemen, and Michele (Ken) Martz; 7 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; brother, David (Joyce) Stemen; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 29, 2021 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at the NEWCOMER NORTHEAST CHAPEL 3047 East Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus, Ohio 43231. Graveside service will be held on Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at 11:00am at the Pataskala Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the West Licking Firefighter's Association, P.O. Box 1120, Pataskala, Ohio 43062.
