Johnnie J. Ray

Johnnie J. Ray, 77, originally from Groveport, OH, passed away peacefully on February 22, 2026. He was preceded in death by parents, Violet and Ralph Ray; eight siblings; and granddaughter, Alexandra Hope Wihl. John is survived by wife of 54 years, Terrie Ray; children, Jason (Anita) Ray, Jodie Ray Wihl, and Julie (John) Palguta; grandchildren, Jeffrey Ray, Ashley Wihl, JJ Palguta, Jacob Ray, and Katherine Palguta; great-granddaughter, Lydia; sister, Nancy Ray; numerous nieces and nephews, other extended family and friends.

John served our country in the United States Army during the Vietnam war. He retired from Ameritech after 30 years. John was a humble man who cared more about other people than himself. He was known for his giving nature and sarcastic sense of humor. John always had a good story to tell. Above all, he loved to be outdoors and spend time with his family and friends.
