Jon Scott Stewart, born on July 26, 1965, in Columbus, Ohio, passed away on December 18, 2025, in Dublin, Ohio. Jon was known for his warm and inviting personality; he never met a stranger, and everyone he encountered loved him.
He created many cherished memories throughout his life, including Friday night pizza after haircuts, leaving his grocery list under Jennifer's pillow, and attending Cincinnati Reds games with his brother Jay. Jon was not only a devoted brother but also a beloved uncle to his nephews and niece, Jason (Michele), Matthew, David, and Jessica Stewart, as well as to his great nephews and nieces, Lillian Gardner, Caleb, and Blane Stewart and many wonderful friends. He shared a close bond with his family, which also included his aunts and uncles, Leda (Reggie) Dean, Sherry Whitt, and Sie (Janie) Stewart.
Jon had various hobbies and interests; he enjoyed visiting Open Door Art Studio, loved to read books and watch sports, and was an avid fan of CMT television, the Kentucky Wildcats, Cincinnati Reds, Dallas Cowboys, and The Ohio State Buckeyes.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Gwelda "Ann" (Whitt) Stewart, his great niece Lainie Stewart, his uncle William "Bud" Whitt, and his grandparents, Willie and Alma Whitt and Balis and Gladys Stewart.
A visitation will be held on December 26, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, at the Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest, located at 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio. The funeral service will follow on the same day, beginning at 7:00 PM. A graveside service will take place on December 27, 2025, at 1:00 PM at East Carter County Memory Gardens, 1296 E Main St, Grayson, Kentucky, concluding at 2:00 PM.
Jon's spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
