Listen to Obituary

For Jordan, life was a song. His music wasn't just a hobby; it was the very rhythm of his soul. Whether he was playing a quiet melody on his guitar or relearning piano skills, he had a way of using his talent to express what words often couldn't. His music brought him peace and comfort and was his greatest passion. While we won't hear him play again, we can find solace in the knowledge that his music lives on in our hearts, and in every note that reminds us of him.

Beyond music, Jordan found his harmony in the outdoors. He had an adventurous spirit and felt most at home discovering new trails to unknown places or making his own sometimes to our surprise and anxiety. The trails and hidden spaces around Columbus were his sanctuary, a place to find peace, quiet and solace from a busy world. For Jordan, the natural world was never just a background—it was an essential character in the story of his life. We'll remember him best surrounded by nature, discovering a new waterfall with a genuine smile on his face. From now on, every time we’re someplace a little bit in the wild, we’ll think of him.

As a son, brother and friend, Jordan's love was occasionally unspoken but never questioned. He was loved by family and friends as a bright light who loved living but sometime wrestled with life. He was kind, loving and inquisitive always asking thought provoking and interesting questions to the things we take for granted daily.

Today, we mourn the future we imagined with Jordan in it. We'll miss his laughter, his talent, and his adventurous spirit. But as we grieve, let's also celebrate the 34 years we had with him. Let's remember the gifts he gave us—his music, his friendship, and his reminder that life, like a good song, should be lived to its fullest.

Rest in peace, Jordan. You will be deeply missed, but your melody will echo on forever.
