Joseph A. Muckensturm II, 61, passed away on February 28, 2014 in Columbus, OH. He was born on February 1, 1953 in Belleville, IL to Joseph and Marie (Budde) Muckensturm.
Joe is preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Janice; children, Dan "Lee" (Loni) Morelock, Holly Muckensturm Hendrickson, and Joseph Muckensturm III; grandchildren, Erika Morelock and Grant and Nolan Hendrickson; sisters, Carol Hudack and Jan (Mark) Pinnick; many nieces and nephews; and many loving friends.
Joe graduated high school from Altoff Catholic High School in 1971. He graduated with his Associates Degree from Belleville Area College. He entered the US Marine Corp in 1975 and trained to become a Field Direction Controlman. Joe will be remembered for the love of his family, classic rock, his sense of humor, and quick wit. He was known for being very kind-hearted and never met a stranger. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him.
Family will receive guests on Saturday, March 15, 2014 from 2:00pm-3:00pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Rd. Columbus, OH 43231 followed by a Memorial Service at 3:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family of Joe Muckensturm to assist them during their difficult time of loss.
