Joshua Thomas Adair

January 15, 1986 – August 4, 2026

Joshua Thomas Adair, 40, passed away unexpectedly on August 4, 2026, at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, surrounded by his loved ones. His life was taken far too soon, leaving behind a family and many friends who will forever love and miss him.

Josh is survived by his children, Madison, Makenna, and Gage Adair; his beloved granddaughter, Oakleigh McLeod; his father, Randall T. Adair; his paternal grandparents, Oliver T. and Florence Adair; his maternal grandmother, Carol Kendrick (Schreiner); his brother, Michael S. Adair; his niece, Adilyn Adair; and his many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Lori S. Adair (Darnell) and his maternal grandfather, Robert Darnell.

Josh was born & raised on the west side of Columbus and was a proud graduate of Grove City High School. He played football throughout his younger years, including for the Riverbend Raiders and the Packers in middle school. Josh was an avid dirt-bike racer, a passion that brought him tremendous joy throughout his life. He loved the thrill of racing, the freedom of riding, and the friendships and memories made along the way. He also enjoyed canoeing, four-wheeling, fishing, and spending time outdoors with his family and friends.

More than anything, Josh loved spending time with his children, family, and friends. He cherished the time he shared with the people he loved and created memories that will remain with them forever.

Becoming a grandfather was a new chapter in Josh’s life that he was never given the chance to experience. His beautiful granddaughter, Oakleigh, was born shortly before his passing. Although he never got to hold her or meet her, she will forever be a part of his legacy and will grow up knowing how deeply she was loved by the grandfather who was so excited to have her.

Josh’s life may have been far too short, but the memories, love, laughter, and adventures he shared with those around him will live on. His children, granddaughter, family, and friends will carry pieces of him with them for the rest of their lives.

Gone far too soon, but never forgotten.

Forever loved. Forever missed. Forever a part of the family he leaves behind. ❤️

Memorial Gathering Monday, August 24th, 2026 from 6pm until the time of Memorial Service at 7pm at Newcomer, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH.
