E. Joyce Carr, 89, of Gahanna, Ohio passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 11, 2017. She was born in Columbus, Ohio on February 12, 1927 to Nick and Nellie Nicklaus. Joyce is preceded in death by her parents; son, Mike Carr and siblings, Chuck, David, Sonny, Evelyn and Thelma Strawster.
Joyce is survived by her son, Robert (Mary Ann) Shrum and granddaughter, Katie.
Joyce was a loving mother and grandmother.
A visitation will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus, Ohio on Monday, January 16, 2016 from 5-7 p.m. A funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. Interment will follow at a future time at the Prairieview Cemetery in Kingston, Ohio.
