Joyce Moratt, 75, of Hilliard, OH (formerly of Leipsic), died at 5:45 a.m. on October 25, 2016 at Darby Glen Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Hilliard after a short illness.
She was born February 4, 1941 in Columbus Grove, OH and was married July 23, 1960 to Robert (Bob) Moratt, Leipsic, who passed away May 31, 2001.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Randy Moratt.
She is survived by her son, Jeff (Bernadette) Moratt, Hilliard, sister Carol Farthing, Leipsic, half-brother Robert Jones, and her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Joyce was a part time librarian at the Leipsic Library and worked for over 20 years with the Putnam County Meals on Wheels program and meal site.
After Bob died, Joyce moved to Hilliard to be closer to her son and grandchildren.
She especially enjoyed her time with two of her grandchildren, Daniel and Jacob. Joyce's days were filled with drinking tea and reading books.
Per her request no service will be held, her preference would be for people to visit their local library and read a book.
