Joyce Ann Tighe
January 12, 1940 — January 6, 2017
Joyce Ann Tighe, 76, entered into Heaven on Jan. 6, 2017. She was preceded in death by parents, James and Margaret Weaver; and husband, Thomas J. Tighe.
Joyce is survived by children, Darrin (Shellie) Crawford, Tracy Heselden, and TJ (Sherry) Tighe; estranged son, Todd (Marcia) Crawford; grandchildren, Matt Tighe, Seth Crawford, Stacey (Jeremiah) Blankenship, Spencer Heselden, Tighe, Kennedy, and Donavan Crawford; great-grandson; brothers, Jim, Jack (Judy), and John (Amy) Weaver; sister, Sharon (John) Peters; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews in Ohio and Florida.
She had many friends she shared her life with and she never met a stranger. Joyce was a devoted daycare provider for 50 years in Franklin and Licking Counties. She called the kids "her angels." Now she is their angel. She bred dogs for 20 years and loved animals including her beloved horse Spinner. Joyce was an Ohio State Buckeye and Cincinnati Bengal's fan. She was a country girl at heart and attended many concerts, especially loving the Jamboree in the Hills. Above all, Joyce loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Visitation Monday, Jan. 16, 2017 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH. Funeral Service Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2017 at 12pm at the Funeral Home. Interment to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Lockbourne, OH.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a children's charity or humane society in Joyce's memory. A family member; 13 year old Cassidy Whitmore suffers from Cerebral Palsy. You may donate to Youcaring.com under Amber Spencer to help her cause.
