Juanita Ferguson

Juanita Ferguson, age 88, passed away on Sunday, June 25, 2017. She was born in Keaton, Ky on October 18, 1928 to the late Tom and Lula Smith. She was a long time member of First Southern Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Harrison Ferguson; siblings, Prock, Ray, Edgel and Oleta Smith; 2 great grandsons, Mike Sabo and Gabe Mousel.

She is survived by her children; Patricia Holbrook , Evalee (Marvin) Walters, Denver (Della) Ferguson and David (Eileen Koschak); special foster daughter, Regina Gamble; 7 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren. Juanita was a mother to 26 foster children and helped raise granddaughter, Shonna Ferguson.

The family will receive friends from 5-8pm, Friday, June 30, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home, N.E., 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Rd., Columbus, OH. 43231 and from 9-10am, Saturday, July 1, 2017 with the funeral service to be held following at 10:00am. Denver Ferguson, Rev. Mike Rector and Rev. John Mead officiating. Interment at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Juanita's memory may be made to First Southern Baptist Church, 310 W. Jersey St., Johnstown, OH 43031.
