June Gallagher

June R. (Wiesel) Gallagher, 97, of Columbus passed away on September 18th, 2026. She was born in Scranton, PA on June 2nd, 1929.

June loved spending time with family, reading, watching Buckeye football games and dancing in her younger days. She is best known for her sly smile, subtle head shakes, and eye rolls while Bill, her husband, retold one of his stories. She was beautiful, caring, obstinate (at times), and only unfiltered in her later years.

June was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, William "Bill" P. Gallagher, and her grandson, Kevin McDonald.

She is survived by her five loving children, Kathleen (Michael) Even of The Villages, Florida, Nancy (Bruce) McDonald of Westerville, Ohio, Theresa (Tony) Gossman of Columbus, Ohio, Lynn Gallagher of Powell, Ohio, and William K. (Brenda) Gallagher of Centerville, Ohio; as well as nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren with whom she orchestrated countless memories that will be cherished forever.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am at St. Brendan Catholic Church (4475 Dublin, Road, Hilliard, Ohio 43026) on September, 24th, 2026 with Father Michael Lumpe officiating. Burial services will immediately follow at 12:30 pm at Resurrection Cemetery (9571 N High St, Lewis Center, OH 43035).
