June Lyons

June Lyons 86 of Columbus passed on April 22, 2015. She was born in Marion, OH to the late Raymond R. & Aurilla B. Roecker. She was also preceded by a sister Mary Ann, brothers Daniel and William, ex-husband John A. Lyons. Survivors include Lisa (Lee) Miller, Ken (Karen) Lyons, Ann (John) Whelan, Megan (Jack) Bogle; grandchildren Jason, Sean, Stephen, Erin, Erika, Elizabeth, Sallie, Robert, Kevin, Kendra and Josh; great grandchildren Caitlin, Reign, Griffin, Fiona, Corinne, Nicholas, Andrew, Evelyn, Hakim.

June was an LPN for 20+ years. She lived in Grove City most of her life, was raised in Marion, Ohio and enjoyed a short period of country life in Mt. Gilead, Ohio. The last 12 years of her life, she lived in Grovewood II Independent Living followed by a brief stay at Lincoln Village Assisted Living. June loved family, traveling, dogs, gardening and people - especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She had a special gift of connecting with people in her life in a personal and meaningful way.

Visitation will be held from 12-4 Saturday April 25 at Newcomer Funeral Home SW 3393 Broadway Grove City, OH 43123. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 1PM on Sunday, and burial will follow at 11AM Monday at Marion Cemetery, Marion, OH.
