Karen Louise Fellenstein

Karen L. Fellenstein-Hastings, age 74, passed away Friday, August 31, 2018. She was born on March 16, 1944 in Columbus, OH. She was a 1962 graduate of West High, 1961 Hilltop Bean Dinner Festival Queen and a 26 year employee of Columbia Gas. Karen was also a lifelong member of Hoge Memorial Presbyterian Church and enjoyed having her nails done and her cat, Stormie.

Preceded in death by parents, David and Bernita Hastings (Johnston); sister, Vicki Ammon; sister-in-law, Beverly Hastings; nephew, Michael Hastings.

Surviving family includes husband, Michael Fellenstein; son, Roger (Alyona) Heidi; brother, Jim Hastings; sisters, Kathy (Geno) Warner, Judy (Dan) Isel; grandchildren, Chris, Adam and Sophia; 2 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Chris (Dan) Riddle; brother-in-law, Larry (Debbie) Fellenstein; mother-in-law, Suzanne Fellenstein; several nieces and nephews and special friend, Sharon Boll.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Mt. Carmel Hospice for their loving care.

Memorial service will be held Saturday, September 15, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. at Newcomer Grove City, 3393 Broadway, where visitation will begin at 12:00 noon.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Karen's name to Mt. Carmel Hospice, 1144 Dublin Rd., Columbus, OH 43215 or a charity of your choice.
