Karen Sue Mayle

Karen Sue Mayle, born in Columbus, Ohio on December 5, 1962, passed away on July 11, 2026 at the age of 63, surrounded by loved ones. 

Karen is survived by her loving husband, George of 25 years; Step-son, Brandon (Reva), Step-daughter, Shawna (TJ) Nelson; Grandchildren, Jayden, Jordan, Krystianna, Bryson, Andrew, Clayton, Faith, Caitlin. She is survived by her mother, Patsy Wells, brothers Jim (Annette) Wells, Larry Wells, half-sister, Candy L. Thames, along with nieces, nephews and extended family.

Karen was preceded in death by her father, Donald J. Wells, nephew Robbie Wells, sister in law, Brenda Wells and Uncle Larry Holbrook.

Karen was loving, kind, patient. She enjoyed being with her family, being a mother, Nana and devoted wife. She was the one who made us all a family. Her laugh could be heard across a crowded room. She will be dearly missed. 

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 17, 2026 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio. A visitation will be held again on Saturday, July 18, 2026 from 9:00am to 10:00am before the funeral service at 10:00am at the funeral home. Pastor Steve Combs will officiate the service before laying her to rest at Obetz Cemetery.
