Karen Sue Solomon was born to Katherine Solomon and Clarence Evans on Thursday, August 18, 1960. She departed this earthly life on Thursday, July 23, 2026.
She lived on Miller Ave. and attended Columbus Public schools until her mother moved to Parkridge Village and Karen then attended Westerville City Schools with her siblings. Karen also attended Culinary Arts school, and she had a passion for cooking.
Karen became a mother when she gave birth to her first daughter Candice in 1981 whom she adored. In 1985, she met her soul mate and received the blessing of her bonus family with her second daughter and two sons that brought her immeasurable joy.
She came into this world as a daughter and a little sister; and she became a mother, grandmother and great grandmother, a big sister, an aunt and great aunt, a cousin, partner and a best friend.
Karen loved GOD with all her heart, and she was passionate about a lot of things and family, friendship and cooking were at the top of the list. She was very dedicated and worked hard at every job, including being a mother. Her grit and determination helped Karen navigate life one step at a time with one foot in front of the other. With a warm loving heart, she made everyone around her feel comfort when they needed it the most.
Karen was proceeded in death by her father Clarence, sister Jacqueline, uncle Thomas, son Leonard, and grandson Terrance Jr. She survived by her mother Katherine, daughters Candice and Juevonna; sons Antonio and Terrance Sr.; brothers William and Stephan; brother-in-law Silas; sisters-in-law Sheila and Cheryl; nephews Marshawn, Michael, Felton and Ricky; nieces Shannia, Anana, Chermaine, Lisa and Sharita; great nieces Katherine and Oliviyel and a host of grandchildren, cousins, family and friends. Karen will be remembered as a beast in the kitchen and one tough cookie with a beautiful soul.
